Malaysia Apr 1-20 Palm Exports Fall 17pc: ITS

Malaysia’s palm oil exports fell 17.1 per cent in the first 20 days of April, independent market surveyor Intertek said.

A total of 724,499 metric tons of the commodity were tracked on April 1 to 20, versus 873,931 tons in the same period in March, Intertek said in an e-mail statement in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, another cargo surveyor Societe Generale de Surveillance said exports of Malaysian palm oil products for April 1-20 fell 9.1 per cent to 767,251 tonnes from 844,474 tonnes shipped between March 1 and March 20. — Bloomberg, Reuters
