CPO Futures End High


palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher yesterday

in line with other vegetable oil markets despite the strengthening US

dollar putting pressure on the gains, dealers said.

November 2010

contract gained RM30 to RM2,920 a tonne, December 2010 went up RM27 to

RM2,914, January 2011 increased RM30 to RM2,919 and February 2011 rose

RM28 to RM2,818.

Total volume decreased to 18,175 lots from

20,653 lots on Monday. Open interest rose to 71,504 contracts from

69,000 previously.

On the physical market, October South rose RM30 to RM2,930 tonne.
