The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) are pleased to announce that theMalaysia-Turkey Palm Oil Trade Fair and Seminar (POTS) will be held on 3 – 4 August 2009 at the Ceylan Intercontinental Hotel, Istanbul,Turkey.

This inaugural POTS wasmooted to acknowledge the importance of Turkey is a discerning customerof Malaysian palm oil. The event is aimed at bringing to the attentionof the Malaysian palm oil industry the issues and challenges faced bythe Turkish end users, and to share the latest developments of theMalaysian palm oil industry. We believe that the challenges and issuescan be translated into business opportunities and partnerships whenjoint efforts are undertaken between suppliers and palm oil end users.Besides the versatility of palm oil in diverse applications, issuessuch as the sustainability of palm oil are also becoming a topic ofconcern among the Turkish in recent years.
In this regard, POTS Turkey will enable the users to receive updates onthe latest developments of palm oil applications in food and non-foodindustries which will ultimately ensure continuous and higher uptake of palm oil in the country. The event will also share with theparticipants on the sustainable practices of the Malaysian palm oilindustry and the relentless efforts in assuring its continuity. POTS isdesigned as a platform for interaction and network building for theMalaysian suppliers and Turkish end users. Exhibition booths will alsobe available throughout the seminar to promote your products andservices, and to showcase your organisation’s continuing commitment toquality and best practices, to both existing and potential new clients.
